Early rain, then drizzly west, drier east, very mild for all
Good morning,
A damp start to this morning over many areas of the UK, windy too in England and Wales. The most persistent of the rain is through northern and eastern England, although this tending to clear east by mid morning. Drier for the northwest of Scotland, perhaps with a few breaks in the cloud here. However, lots of murk and drizzle in southern and eastenr parts of Scotland.
This afternoon sees lots of cloud and some drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. More eastern parts of the UK and Ireland should be drier, although still with plenty of cloud. That cloud could break here and there in northeast England and eastern Scotland giving a few brighter spells.
Exceptionally mild for all, especially where any brightness occurs in the east.
