A cold and mixed start, then drier and mixed and milder after mid-March
Strong indications of colder weather to close February and to start March. There is a risk of some wintry precipitation too;. March may well change in the middle of the month to see temperatures closer to average and drier weather in the south whilst the north becomes wetter.
*17/2/18 - 23/2/18*
Higher pressure building. This should bring drier conditions. Tending to turn cooler through the wek as the east wind increases. The risk fo some rain on eastern coasts, perhaps turning wintry later in the week.
*24/2/18 - 2/3/18*
Low confidence in the forecast for this week. At the present time we suspect the cold conditions continue with a risk of it becoming very cld at times. A brisk easterly flow. Watch for risk of some wintry weather in southern UK.
*3/3/18 - 9/3/18*
Could be wintry for a while this week. Risk of sleet or snow, most in the south. Could be remaining cold throughout. Breezy.
*10/3/18 - 16/3/18*
More unsettled weather and chilly. Most rain to south but drier to the north? Could turn milder later in the week.
*17/3/18 to 23/3/18*
Perhaps a milder week with winds from the west or southwest. Drier to the south with sunny spells, but some rain in the north and west.
