Windy and cloud, damp in the northern and west
Cloud in southern England this morning giving a few spots of rain. Windy in Scotland with rain in the west, turning to snow on hills. Scattered showers over western coasts of Wales and Ireland. Dry in the east.
This afternoon sees the showers merging to longer spells of rain in western and central Scotland, western England and Wales as well as western Ireland. Eastern Scotland and eastern England will be dry and bright, although a few showers here later. More heavy showers or longer spells of rain this evening, slowly fading after midnight. Snow over the hills of western Scotland, with a few wintry showers in western Ireland too. Feeling cold in the wind.
