Sunshine & showers
Blustery north

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 3rd August 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Sunshine and showers, some longer spells of rain too.

Good morning,

With low pressure just to the north of the country, there will be a brisk northwesterly wind still blowing across the north though it will ease as the day goes on.

Blustery showers, some merging into longer spells of rain across Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Showers also affecting northern parts of England and northwest Wales.

A weak front across southern and southeastern counties will bring variable cloud and possible spots of rain in places here though it will still be rather warm and muggy.

Overnight, the rain will clear Northern Ireland and move into Scotland, some heavy and persistent spells across the northwest. Showers will continue to affect northwest England, northwest Wales and western coasts of Ireland. Some patchy rain also continuing to pester the far southern English counties too. Otherwise, dry with clear spells.

Have a good one.

Alexi
