Sunny spells, dry and warm although some cloud in the far south of England and northwest Scotland

A fair and fresh morning for many areas of the British Isles. The best sunshine in central and eastern areas of England and Ireland. Cloudier in central and northern Scotland, some showers in the northwest. Cloud may affect the far south of England with little change as the morning progresses.

Further cloud this afternoon over the far south of England. Lots of sunshine for England, Wales and Ireland as well as the far south of Scotland. Feeling warm in these sunnier areas. Cloudier in central and northern Scotland, some showery rain in the far northwest and through Shetland.

Clearer skies overnight in much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Some showers in western Scotland with strong winds in the far northwest. Broken cloud in Ireland, some showers in the far west.
