Heavy rain, hail and thunder
Good morning,
It will feel much colder than recently today, with cold westerly winds sweeping across the country, gusting gale force much of the day, strongest in northern Scotland this morning.
Showers will be frequent, merging into clusters of organised rain, particularly across central regions this morning, spreading eastwards. Expect hail and thunder too, particularly in northern Britain. Snow will fall over the mountain tops.
Sunny spells develop for the Midlands and south more widely this afternoon, but expect a few showers, these most frequent in the west and north. Top temperatures just 8 to 12C, but feeling colder in the wind.
Have a great day. Garry
