Morning Call - July 02, 2026
Strong winds at first, fair
Bright and dry afternoon

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 2nd July 2026
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Fair with good sp[ells of sunshine and an early, strong northwest wind

Breezy start to this morning across many areas of northern England and Scotland. One or two showers affecting northern and western Scotland, as well as parts of Northwest England, but these will soon be fading. Most areas are going to have a fair morning with good spells of sunshine and feeling fresh and the strong Northwest wind.

This afternoon remains bright and dry for most with some good spells of sunshine. There is a chance of a shower in northern Scotland, but these would only be light. The winds will be easing too, although still a moderate to strong north-westerly across northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Tonight is dry with some good clear spells, although cloud tending to increase from the west later on in the night. It should stay dry throughout.
