Morning Call - January 06, 2016
Staying wet north-east
Brighter Midlands & west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 6th January 2016
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Further rain spreads from south-west tonight

Good morning,

It remains a grey and wet picture across north-east England and eastern Scotland, with rain on and off most of the day, not helping the flooding situation in this part of the World.

Areas of dense fog persist across the south this morning, locally slow to clear. Generally dry across the Midlands, Wales and the south, and a little sunshine may break through in western regions.

Light winds for many areas today, but a southerly breeze will freshen from the west. Rain develops from the south-west this evening, turning wet for all overnight. Today's temperatures will range from 6C in the north, to 9C in the south.

Have a great day.
Garry
