Snowy Scotland, rain south and west
Good morning,
A cloudy day to come through more western parts of the UK today. There will be some Snow is going to be faling through much of central and southern Scotland as well as the northern Pennines early this morning. Milder air is arriving all the time and so this increasingly turns to rain at lower levels as the morning progresses, but stays as snow over the hills until mid afternoon.
Rain through Northern Ireland, northern England and Wales, turning drizzly into the early afternoon and most places then drier, although cloudy. Drizzle and low cloud continue to affect the hills and coasts, especially in the west and south. Windy as well, strongest in the west.
Tonight continues with the mild theme. There will be drizzle over coasts and hills of the west and south, but then more persistent rain arriving in western Scotland and Ireland later.
