Plenty of cloud, dry for most but some bright or sunny spells this afternoon

An area of showery rain crossing Ireland and moving into Wales and southwest England this morning. Drier elsewhere but with lots of cloud. A few bright spells in the east. Little change through the morning.

This afternoon sees the showery rain spreading through Wales and into the Midlands and parts of southern England, Drier for northern England and Scotland as well as Ireland, A few brighter spells in the east as well.

Tonight is dry for most with any evening showers soon fading from central, eastern and southern England. Some rain moving into Ireland later, this heavy.
