Showery rain passing east, becoming drier to the west

Good morning,

A band of showery rain is cross western England and Wales early this morning, but tending to be drier to the east and south. There could be some sunshine early on this morning too in East Anglia and southeast England, things tending to cloud up this afternoon as some showery bursts of rain arrive.

Drier across northern and most of western England and Wales this afternoon, further sunny spells coming through. Scotland brings cloud and some rain into the southeast once again in the afternoon, this moving northwards. The rain turning to snow on the hills of Scotland. Much of western Scotland tending to be dry overall.

Tonight sees further showery bands of rain passing northeastwards, tending to stay cloudy and damp for the far north of Scotland.
