Morning Call - July 07, 2021
Showery central areas
Local thunder

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 7th July 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Drier in the far south

Good morning,

There will be more heavy showers around today, some thunderstorms locally, but also some places which escape completely dry.

Clusters of showers will drift eastwards across England and Wales, most widespread by the afternoon. Western coastal districts will clear through the afternoon. Northeast England and eastern Scotland will also catch local afternoon downpours, whilst northern Scotland sees outbreaks of rain during the morning too.

South and southeastern-most counties of England will generally escape the showers with a good amount of sunshine around. A fresh southwesterly breeze will tend to ease through the day.

Today's top temperatures will reach 19 to 22C for central and eastern England, nearer 16C in the north and west.

Have a great day.
Garry
