Morning Call - November 11, 2019
Showers & outbreaks of rain
Cold

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 11th November 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Another cold day across the country with showers and outbreaks of rain. Drier and brighter to the east later.

Good morning,

It's a wet start to the day for the southeastern half of England, Cumbria, western Scotland and the northeast of Scotland as low pressure centred over northern Scotland extends fronts across the country. Rain turns to snow over higher ground in Scotland. Elsewhere there's a mix of sunny spells and showers with showers focussed over western coasts and hills. Through the morning rain eases to the southeast away from England but persists over western and northeastern Scotland.

Conditions continue much the same through Monday afternoon with rain and snow over western and northeastern Scotland. Showers and outbreaks of rain persist too for western coastal regions of Ireland, England and Wales. Again, rain will turn to snow over higher ground. High temperatures ranging from just 4 to 8C across the country.

Low pressure doesn't move far into Monday evening with rain continuing over parts of Scotland and showers continuing over western coasts and hills.

Have a good day!

Claire
