High pressure yet a cooler NE'ly wind
Good morning,
Dry for most places, although thicker cloud may bring spots of light rain or drizzle to some eastern coasts and hills occasionally. Cloudier skies across Scotland with the best of the sunshine further south and west.
Overnight, expect variable cloud and clear spells, the cloud most broken across western regions, whilst east and northeastern areas will hold onto a lot of cloud. A few mist and fog patches forming in sheltered low lying spots as well as towards eastern coasts.
Disappointingly cool in a fresh northerly breeze on eastern coasts still, only around 14 to 15C. Highs 18 to 22C inland, pleasantly warm where sunshine breaks through. Overnight lows 6 to 9C in rural parts in the west & north, 10 to 12C in most towns and cities.
