Morning Call - September 27, 2021
Rainy Monday morning
Feeling fresher

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 27th September 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Brighter skies spread eastwards

Good morning,

A cold front will pass eastwards across England this morning, producing rain for a few hours, suddenly heavy for a time, clearing into the North Sea by the afternoon.

Low pressure centred toward the northwest today will drive southwesterly winds across Britain, with showery rain frequent in the west.

Following the rain in eastern areas, skies will brighten and sunshine will break through, leaving a largely dry afternoon for the Midlands, south and eastern England.

Winds will gust toward gale force for exposed coasts and headlands in the southwest, also in eastern areas in the morning as the cold front passes through.

Today's top temperatures will be several degrees down on Sunday's values, only up to 19C in the southeast, 17C for the Midlands, nearer 13 to 15C in the north and west.

Have a great day.
