Wintry weather north

Rain and gales force winds will spread eastward through the day, possibly turning to sleet or snow over higher ground in Scotland and northern England. Heavy showers are expected over England. It will feel cool, with highs of 4°C in the north and 8°C in the south. Frost is expected overnight in the north.

A windy and wet night for most areas, with heavy rain over central and southern parts, while in the north some sleet or snow is expected even down to low levels. A cold night in the north with minimus of 2C, while it will stay mild in south with 8-10C.
