Cool blustery winds

Winds gusting gale force

Good morning,

It's a blustery and cool day out there today, and the wind will strengthen too, gusts reaching 50mph inland, locally 60mph around exposed coasts & hills in west.

After a dry, bright and chilly start in the east, clouds will thicken from the west, bringing increasingly persistent rain to Scotland, Wales & western England through the morning.

Bursts of rain will spread across central and southern areas into the afternoon, although eastern England should be dry most of daylight. Snow affects the Scottish mountains, perhaps a rumble of thunder in north-west.

It will feel cool in the wind, temperatures 6 to 9C, a little milder in south-west.

Have a great day.
Garry
