Morning Call - June 07, 2020
Rain, showers south
Dry but cloudy north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 7th June 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Bands of rain and showers move southward over England and Wales through the day on Sunday with the heaviest rain over eastern England. A mostly dry but rather cloudy day for Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Good Morning,

Outbreaks of rain pass southward over England and Wales this morning with the heaviest and most persistent of the rain over eastern England. Elsewhere it's a mostly dry start to the day though a few showers may develop over Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland. Fairly cloudy for most areas too with a few spells of sunshine around the Irish Sea.

Rain continues to edge southward over England and Wales through Sunday afternoon with some heavy bursts possible for south-central England. A few showers linger over western parts of England and Wales behind this. Mostly dry through the afternoon for Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Rather cloudy here too but some spells of sunshine develop.

The evening sees rain and any lingering showers fading to leave a mostly dry end to the day. The best of the sun over southeast Ireland and the southwest UK.

Have a good day!

Claire
