Rain gradually pushes in from the west
Low pressure off out over the North Sea but still some spells of rain may just continue to affect parts of eastern England first thing. Generally though, a mainly dry morning with sunny spells. Patchy rain moves in across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
In the afternoon, rain continues to push east and will affect much of Scotland, parts of northwest England, Wales and southwest England by later in the day. Elsewhere, staying mostly dry with sunny spells still expected in the far east.
Overnight, rain continues to push east and clears from the west with drier conditions, clear spells and frosty conditions developing, although blustery showers are expected in the far west. Winds will strengthen here too.
