Morning Call - September 02, 2020
Rain in the west
Drier east

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 2nd September 2020
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain and cloud in the west, drier in the east with the best sunshine in the southeast

It will be a fair start to the morning across much of England and eastern Wales. Lots of sunshine across eastern parts of England although cloud tending to increase in the west. Breezier in Scotland and through Ireland with rain in western Scotland and the threat of some heavy rainfall across central and northern parts of Ireland. Increasingly low cloud affecting western coasts of Wales and southwest England.

This afternoon sees periods of rain affecting much of western Scotland as well as northern and western parts of Wales. Patchy rain in north-western England with low cloud and some fog affecting western coast. More eastern parts of Scotland and eastern England should stay dry, and it should stay dry in southern England to with the best of any sunshine in the south-east. Staying breezy in the north and west.

Tonight becomes wetter through much of southern and eastern Scotland as well as northern England and the north and west of Wales. Cloudier but drier across southern and south-east England. Some showers following into western Scotland.
