Rain in the far southeast, drier northern and west but some snow showers on hills in Scotland
A wet morning in East Anglia and the far southeast of England. There will be some mist and fog for the next few hours in western parts of the Midlands, Wales and southwest England, these slowly lifting. Some showers in northern Scotland, these falling as snow over the hills.
This afternoon is likely to be drier. Cloudier in the east and southeast, although the chance of some drizzle on southern coasts. Showers in western Scotland and northwest England, but dry for most with sunnier periods, the best of them to the west. Tonight sees a frost in northern and western areas under clearer skies. Cloudier in the east.
