Cool east & northeast
High pressure is anchored to the north of Britain, where it will stay for the week ahead, maintaining east or southeasterly winds. Slack low pressure is to the south.
A slow-moving front lies across southern England and Wales, giving persistent rain around the M4 corridor, also Kent & Sussex. A few showery bursts for southwest England.
Dry for north Wales, much of the Midlands and the northern half of Britain & Ireland, with best sunshine in the northwest.
Today's top temperatures 10 to 13C, but only 7 or 8C on northeastern coasts with a cool breeze off the North Sea.
Have a great day.
