Morning Call - September 03, 2020
Rain in south
Showers in west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 3rd September 2020
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Patchy rain pushing south. Showers in the north and west. Best of any sunshine in the east.

This morning it will be largely cloudy across England and Wales while patchy, mainly light rain pushes southwards. Western Scotland will see scattered showers, these mostly light, with the best of the sunshine in the east. Some sunny spells but largely cloudy across Ireland and Northern Ireland with mainly dry conditions but there are some scattered light showers about too.

In the afternoon, patchy rain in the south will largely become confined to the far southeast as it continues to push southeastwards. Turning brighter further north across England and Wales but with some showers, mainly in the west. Sunny spells and showers still affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. A strengthening southwesterly wind here.

Overnight, it will continue to be breezy in the north and west with showers affecting these parts too. The best of any clear spells in the east with some clear spells in the south but quite cloudy here throughout.
