Morning Call - June 21, 2020
Rain clears east
Showers & sunny spells follow

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 21st June 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A band of rain clears east through the morning leaving brighter conditions across the UK and Ireland but with frequent showers. These heaviest to the west where there may be the odd rumble of thunder. Showers ease into the evening to leave a mostly dry and bright end to the weekend.

Good Morning,

A band of rain clears east into the North Sea from southeast England and northeast Scotland through Sunday morning. This rain lingers a bit longer over the Northern Isles. Brighter conditions follow from the west behind this for many though showers, some heavy and locally thundery, develop too.

Through the afternoon showers generally ease and become more scattered though they may persist longer over Northern Ireland, the northwest of England and for western Scotland. A largely dry and bright afternoon for southern Ireland, southern and central England, eastern Scotland and the southern half of Wales.

Showers ease for all with the exception of the far west of Scotland into Sunday evening with the best of the sun over England, Wales and Scotland as a new frontal system out to the west builds cloud over Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Have a good day!

Claire
