Feeling much milder for most

Good morning,

A wet start to the day for many places, but west & northern Britain will soon improve as a front clears eastwards.

Rain will linger across the Midlands through the morning, slowly fading into the afternoon. Meanwhile, eastern counties of England will stay wet into the afternoon.

Strong southerly winds in the east & north-east will ease, veering west or north-westerly as the front clears eastwards. A few showers will follow into the north-west of Britain & Ireland.

Temperatures will stay cool in the east at 7C, but milder air spreads from the west, reaching 10 to 12C for most places, or up to a mild 14C in the far south-west.

Sunday will be a bright day for most. A little rain may linger in East Anglia, where a northerly breeze will feel cool. Cloud and drizzly rain will affect the far north-west.

Have a great day.
