Plenty of cloud and feeling chilly, rain and some showers
Rather a lot of cloud around for many today and it wil be feeling chilly under that cloud for many of us. Patchy spells of rain across central Ireland, northern Wales and northern England. Some bright or sunnier spells developing in southern and central England and Wales, although always a fair amount of cloud here. Brighter in northern Scotland, sunny spells here and apart from an isolated showers, most parts dry.
This afternoon brings some thicker cloud into southern Ireland and the far southwest of England bringing some more persistent rain here. At the same time some heavier bursts of showery rain starting to affect the hills of Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England.
Stronger winds and heavier periods of rain pushing north across Ireland, England and Wales tonight. Rain too afecting central and eastern Scotland.
