Cloudy for many with spots of rain this morning, turning brighter in the west

Good morning,

Cloud and rain extends through Scotland and into northwest England, Wales and southwest England this morning. It's a little brighter to the east although there will be some bright or sunny spells. Better weather moving into Ireland too although with some showers in the west.
 

The rain band weakens as it passes across northern England, the Midlands and into southern England through this morning and this afternoon, that brighter weather reaching the west. More persistent showers and longer outbreaks of rain getting into the far west of Ireland.

Tonight sees rain and showers into Ireland, western Wales and western Scotland, but drier to the east and south.
