A mix of rain and sleet mostly, but some snow expected in places, pushing into central and southern England and Wales.
In the morning there will be a mix of rain and sleet, possible snow over the higher ground, will continue to affect northern then central areas of England and Wales. Meanwhile, snow showers will continue across northern Scotland with wintry showers down western coasts of the UK and Ireland. Drier elsewhere but with a risk of frost and ice.
In the afternoon, rain and sleet will push into southern England and parts of the southwest before moving into the Channel later in the day. Showers in the far north and down coasts continue. Drier elsewhere.
A largely dry night with plenty of clear skies about but continuing with wintry showers across northern Scotland and down coastal areas of the UK and Ireland. A widespread frost is expected with a hard frost across much of Scotland and northern England. A risk of ice for many.
