Light winds, sea breezes
High pressure influences much of Britain again today - the high centred toward the east, drawing in warm air from the south.
A trough of lower pressure passes to the north of Scotland, where fronts bring rain, mostly affecting the Western and Northern Isles, perhaps the north-west Highlands, where skies will be mostly cloudy. Cloud breaking for eastern Scotland.
Lots of strong sunshine for much of England and Wales. Variable cloud toward the north-west. Local fog patches possible around some western coasts. Light sea breezes forming, keeping coastal fringes cooler than inland.
Today's top temperatures will reach 20 to 24C, locally 26C in the south-east. Nearer 13C north-west Scotland, and around 15 to 18C on many coasts.
Have a great day.
