Sunshine returning from west later
Good morning,
A weakening cold front moves eastwards across the country today, producing a little patchy rain, but amounting to very little for most places.
The most persistent rain will affect western hills of northern England & Wales early this morning, but will soon fade. Spots of rain will cross the Midlands through the middle of the day. A scattering of showers affect western Scotland, but few reaching the east.
Breezy, particularly in northern Britain, and gusty ahead of the front in southern parts. Some sunshine, best early morning in the south-east, then brighter skies and plenty of sun should extend from the west behind the front.
Today's top temperatures will be 16 to 19C north & west and feeling fresh, 20 to 22C for central areas, and up to 24C in the south-east.
Have a great day. Garry
