Outbreaks of rain followed by sunny spells and showers. Gales to the west and north.
It's a wet start to the day for eastern Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the far northwest and southwest of England as a front brings some heavy outbreaks of rain. Windy too to the west and north with gales affecting coastal areas. Overcast but dry ahead of the rain to the east. Rain edges eastward through the morning spreading further into England but generally becoming more showery and lighter in nature. Showers edge into western Ireland later too.
Through the afternoon rain spreads into southeastern England still tending to be more showery in nature. Behind this it's a windy afternoon for much of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the northwest of England with some good spells of sunshine. Showers affecting western coasts and hills. High temperatures ranging from 11 to 15C.
Rain lingers over the far southeast of England this evening while showers merge over western parts of Ireland and Scotland to give more prolonged spells of rain.
Have a good day!
