Plenty of cloud, a few spots of hill rain, turning fresher and brighter in northern and western areas
Rather cloudy this morning across much of northern and western England as well as Wales. There will be some drizzle affecting western coast of Wales and England with low cloud shredding the hills. Fresher weather follows into Scotland and the north and west of Ireland, a few outbreaks of rain at first here but they should clear.
This afternoon is generally brighter across much of central and northern Scotland, although a few showers may affect western hills. Dry and mostly bright to in Ireland and across northern England and feeling fresher. Take a cloud across central and southern England and Wales perhaps producing one or two light showers.
Tonight becomes cloudy across northern and western Scotland with a few spots of drizzle. Generally more cloud across much of the rest of Scotland and northern England as well as the north and west of Ireland but staying dry. Some clear spells to the south. A fresher night.
