Lots of cloud for all, periods of rain in Scotland and Ireland, drizzle on hills
Plenty of cloud across the UK and Ireland today. There is going to be some damp weather around, mainly in more northern and western areas. Most rain in western and southern Scotland as well as the west of Ireland. Drizzly outbreaks over the hills of Wales and northwest England. Drier and muggy elsewhere, tending to be driest to the south.
This afternoon stays muggy and cloudy, A few spots of drizzle over the hills of central and northern England and Wales. More persistent rain in Ireland and western Scotland.
Tonight brings a risk of some thundery rain across Ireland and Scotland, perhaps northern England too. Drier through more southern areas with some clearer spells developing.
