Mist/fog east
Thundery showers

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 14th June 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Mist and fog patches affect eastern parts of England and Scotland first thing and may be slow to clear for some. Elsewhere there will be some bright spells though early showers over southwestern areas intensify and spread through the afternoon. Some of these will be thundery.

Good Morning,

Showery outbreaks of rain affect much of Ireland and southwestern parts of the UK through Sunday morning become progressively heavier and more widespread. Northeastern coasts of England and Scotland see extensive mist and fog patches through the morning. These may be slow to clear in places, persisting for much of the day for some. Elsewhere the morning is dry with some bright spells.

Showers intensify through the afternoon across much of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, western England and into southwest Scotland. These turning thundery for southwestern areas in particular. Elsewhere there will be some good bright spells though some eastern areas may hold onto the fog.

Into the evening showers tend to fade for most but may linger over Ireland a little longer. The best of the evening sun will be over southern parts of the UK.

Have a good day!

Claire
