Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Patchy rain or drizzle

Good morning,

It's a rather murky day across southern areas today, with extensive low cloud and outbreaks of rain or drizzle, although it will be feeling mild.

Brighter skies will gradually develop for northern England, with some sunshine breaking through to the east of the Pennines.

The south & east of Scotland will also be largely dry and bright, whilst western Scotland will see a lot of cloud and patchy rain.

A light west or south-westerly breeze, strongest around exposed coasts.

Today's top temperatures will be a mild 12 to 14C for England & Wales, locally warmer in brighter spells in the east. Nearer 9 or 10C for northern Britain & Ireland.

Have a great day.
