Blustery winds

Good morning,

A mixture of weather across the country today, with sunny spells and some heavy downpours. Expect brisk southerly winds, strongest around western coasts and hills.

Showery bursts of rain will break out most widely from the southwest into Wales, across the western side of the Midlands and into northern England. A risk of isolated hail and thunder.

Eastern counties of England will be generally drier, but a risk of one or two showers forming.

Northern Scotland starts with some rain, but this will clear with some brighter spells breaking through. A scattering of showers will also form over south and central Scotland during the day, locally heavy.

Showery too for Northern Ireland, with some more constant heavier rain for western parts of Ireland.

Today's top temperatures only 15 to 17C in the west, reaching 19 to 22C in eastern areas.

Have a great day.
Garry
