Rain north and west, dry south and east, windy for all

Good morning,

Rain across southern Ireland and southwest England this morning, some of that quite heavy at times. The front bringing the rain edges slowly north taking rain into Northern Ireland, Wales and also central and southern England by this afternoon. Some drizzle across central Scotland, but the north should be drier and there could even be some bright spells here. Plenty of cloud elsewhere.

Staying mostly cloudy this afternoon, the rain into northern England by this evening. Drier weather arrives in Ireland and Wales, reaching southwest England too. Staying cool in northern Scotland, milder in southern England.

Tonight sees the rain reaching southern Scotland and slowly clearing east, although a further areas of heavy rain reaching southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England in the early hours, passing east. Becoming windy too here.
