Morning Call - September 08, 2021
Hot again
Thundery bursts southwest

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 8th September 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Thunderstorms advancing north into Wales & Midlands by night

Good morning,

Another very warm and sunny day lies ahead as continental air continues to waft across Britain. Plenty of sunshine, a little hazy with some high cloud building from the west and south.

Thundery rain will push up across the Channel into southwest England through the day, this developing increasingly into the afternoon, and extending into Wales by evening. Thundery bursts will advance further across central-southern England after dark.

Western Scotland and Northern Ireland will see a fair amount of high cloud, but will stay mainly dry, apart from a few spots of rain locally or a small risk of an afternoon shower.

Today's top temperatures will climb toward 30C again for central England, and widely into the mid 20s Celsius across most of Britain. Feeling humid.

Have a great day.
Garry
