A wet day for all
A band of heavy rain will sweep eastward through the morning and afternoon, bringing some snow to higher ground. Showers will follow in its wake. Expect strong winds with gales in exposed areas. Highs will range from 6â�'8°C in the south to 3â�'4°C in the north.
Rain and showers will clear eastward in the evening, giving way to a brief dry spell. However, another area of heavy rain and strong winds will reach Ireland and spread eastward across Wales and western England overnight. Snow is likely over high ground and possibly at lower levels in northern Ireland. Severe gales are expected from the southwest, with overnight lows of 9°C in the south and 2°C in the north.
