After yesterday's stormy conditions, that theme continues today with another significant area of low pressure moving up into southern England to bring heavy rain accompanied buy strong winds. The strongest winds are likely across Wales, the North Midlands and northern England with gusts to 60 mph over high ground. Scotland and Northern Ireland will be dry with the best of the sunshine. Expect maximums temperatures 2 to 12 Celsius north to south.
Quite a windy evening and night. An area of heavy rain across northern England and Wales moves into Northern Ireland Scotland with snow over the Grampians and Highlands. Heavy, blustery showers replace the rain across central and southern England. A milder night to come with minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 Celsius.
If you are heading abroad western Europe will be unsettled with heavy rain and strong winds. Eastern regions will be dry but cold.
