A murky start, plenty of cloud, but sunny spells forming and triggering eastern showers, muggy
Rather a murky start to this morning. There will be some mist with low coud covering hills, especially over England, Wales and southern Scotland. Some sunshine in eastern Ireland and western Scotland. The mist should lift for many and some sunny spells break through as the morning progresses, the best of them to the west. Feeling humid.
This afternoon sees some sunny spells breaking through for many. These lift temperatures and allow a few showers to develop in eastern England, where actually there will always be a fair amount of cloud. If the showers develop they could be heavy in the east. Western Ireland always at risk of lower cloud and some drizzle.
Tonight sees dry weather in England, Wales and most of Scotland, but some mist patches by morning. Lower cloud and some drizzle in the far west of Ireland. Fairly mild.
