Morning Call - August 26, 2024
Fine for many
A little rain northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 26th August 2024
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Pleasantly warm central and southeastern areas

Good morning,

The Bank Holiday will be dry for many places across England and Wales, a mix of cloud and sun, best toward the east and southeast where it will feel warm by afternoon.

Cloudier skies in the west and northwest, enough to bring some patchy light rain in the morning over the hills, but tending to brighten up in the afternoon.

Light to moderate southwesterly winds during the day, but strengthening tonight with heavy rain moving across Ireland and into Scotland for early Tuesday.

A mixed outlook into midweek with rain mostly in the west, whilst central and eastern areas are mostly dry and warm.

Today's top temperatures reaching 23C in southeast England and East Anglia, 21C for the Midlands, 16 to 18C north and west.

Have a great day.
Garry
