A fair day for most, dry with sunny spells, although some early cloud and rain in the east
Cloud and some patchy rain in eastern England this morning, most of it showery and light. For other areas it is brighter and dry with some good spells of sunshine, best in western parts of Scotland, England and Wales. Any rain soon clearing eastern areas, although expect a few showers in Kent and the eastern Suffolk until lunchtime.
This afternoon stays fair and dry. Good spells of sunshine for much of England and Wales. Cloud increases in western Scotland with some rain arriving here later. Showery bits of rain too in western Ireland.
Tonight sees heavier rain in western Scotland and parts of northwest Ireland. A few showers in west Wales and the western coasts of Cornwall and Devon. Dry with clearer skies in central and eastern England.
