Sunny spells and mainly dry although cloud and rain in the southwest later
A quiet day for most parts of the country today. A few showers in the far south of England. Some showers in western Ireland as well. Most areas dry though with some bright or sunny spells. Thickening cloud through southern Ireland with some rain edging northeast here through this morning.
The rain spreads into western and southern Ireland in the afternoon, reaching western Wales and southwest England by the evening. Dry for other areas this afternoon, some bright or sunny spells in more northern and eastern areas. Feeing warm in the sunshine with temperatures into the low 20's.
This evening sees the rain getting heavier through Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The rain spreads northwards through the night, reaching northern England and the far south of England and Northern Ireland in the early hours. Turning drier in southern areas, although some showers and strong winds over western coasts and hills.
