Morning Call - August 06, 2017
Dry south & east
Rain north-west

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 6th August 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Warm sunshine south-east

Good morning,

Low pressure centred to the north-west pushes fronts across Ireland and into western Britain.

Outbreaks of rain becoming increasingly persistent for Scotland, spreading to the hills of north-west England & Wales in the afternoon.

A ridge of high pressure influences south-eastern Britain, keeping the Midlands, south & east dry with some sunshine, best in the east. A freshening south-westerly wind across the country, strongest in the west.

Today's temperatures will be 15 to 18C in the north-west, coolest where rain persists. Reaching 20C for the Midlands, up to 23C in East Anglia & the south-east.

Have a great day.
Garry
