Rain for western Scotland & Ireland

Good morning,

South-westerly winds across the British Isles today, will freshen to widespread gales in the north this evening, gusts 50 to 60mph Scotland & Ireland.

It will stay dry throughout the day across most of England and Wales, perhaps a little drizzle around western coasts and hills. Rain will turn persistent and heavy for Northern Ireland and western Scotland.


Some sunshine early on in the south & east, where it starts cool. Clouds thickening from the west. Temperatures reaching highs of 8 to 11C for most.
