Rain arrives west Scotland

Good morning,

High pressure extends across central and southern Britain today, bringing dry weather to many places.

Light winds, broken cloud and sunshine for England & Wales much of the day. East & southern Scotland also staying generally dry.

Strengthening southwesterly winds for the northwest as fronts move in from the Atlantic, bringing rain to western Scotland and Northern Ireland in the afternoon.

After a chilly start with frost, today's top temperatures reaching 8 to 12C, and feeling pleasant in any sunshine.

Have a great day.
Garry
