Dry, morning mist and fog clearing to sunny spells

Fog patches this morning across part of Wales, the western Midlands and northern England as well as southern Scotland. These clearing. More cloud in southern England and northern Scotland. Elsewhere the cloud is likely to be breaking with some sunny spells developing and all areas being dry.

This afternoon remains under high pressure with some reasonable spells of sunshine through many areas of England and Wales as well as southern Scotland. Cloudier northern Scotland but dry. Feeling milder in Scotland but still cool for England and Wales.

Tonight brings broken cloud in the south with some clear spells. Cloudier skies in northern England, Scotland and much of Ireland. Some spots of drizzle over western coasts of Scotland. A touch of frost by morning in parts of England and Wales, mostly on grass.
