Largely dry with broken cloud, and a few wintry showers in southeast England A ridge of high pressure off eastern Scotland brings a chilly easterly flow over the UK, feeling strongest in the south of the British Isles. The morning starts off with a touch of frost, particularly in Scotland and southern and eastern parts of England. Broken cloud with sunny spells, and staying dry overall, but becoming cloudier as the day progresses.
A few showers along coastal regions in southern England and East Anglia in the afternoon. These will turn increasingly wintry as the day progresses, and will spread more broadly across southeast England. Dry elsewhere, with the best of sunshine in the west. A risk of light showers and some cloud in southeast Scotland.
Overnight some snow flurries across the Midlands and Wales at first, as well as southern England. A bit of snow over the tops of the South Downs. Staying dry for Scotland, northern England, and most of Ireland. The wind picks up overnight, so feeling breezy and cold across England and Wales.
