Drier interlude
Sunny spells

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 5th June 2026
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

A better day than of late though more rain moving in overnight.

Good morning,

Friday promises drier weather with more in the way of sunshine. A few light showers in western areas, particularly western areas of Scotland, some reaching into central and eastern areas here.

The afternoon will see rain affect the south of Ireland, gradually becoming more widespread into the later hours, and becoming heavy in the south with winds becoming blustery. Cloud will begin to develop more broadly over west and central England including Wales. Shower risk continues in Scotland.

Warmest in the east and southeast with highs here 17 to 20C. Cooler further west with highs around 16C.

Have a good one.
